How much is it?
The cost for the 2016 conference is $10.

 

What will the students receive?
The $10 fee provides each student with a YES! conference t-shirt, a goody bag, and lunch.

 

Where is it located?
The conference will be located at the Dr. William B. McLean Labroatory on NAWCWD China Lake.  Parents will be able to enter the lobby of the building to drop their students off, however to ensure the safety of the students and to keep chaos to a minimum, we request that parents (even those with access to the building and just wanting to look around) do not pass through the secure doors.

 

What if I don't live in Ridgecrest?  Can my student still attend?

We gladly welcome students from anywhere, although parents and/or guardians are responsible for transportation of the students to and from the venue.

 

How long will the conference last?
Doors will open at 8:00 AM.  Conference festivities will start at 8:20 AM and will finish up about 2:00 PM.

 

What if I don't have access to the base?
That's not a problem!  If you receive a registration confirmation card in the mail (approximately 1 week prior to the conference), there will be instructions for how to gain access to NAWCWD China Lake on the day of the conference.

 

Are girls allowed to attend the YES! conference?
YES!  Although there is already a conference geared towards young women, we welcome the participation of young women at our conference!

 

How do I know if my student is registered?
If submitting a paper registration form, submit your form and your conference fee to your student's school.  Approximately 1 week prior to the event, you will receive a confirmation card in the mail stating that your student was one of the first 150 students registered and we look forward to seeing them on the day of the event!

 

If submitting an online registration, fill out the form and click "Submit".  If the registration reaches us, you will see a "Success" page and will receive an email at the address submitted with the registration form.  Then, go to the "Registered" tab on the website and follow instructions for submitting payment.  Approximately 1 week prior to the event, you will receive a confirmation card in the mail or an email to the registered email address stating that your student was one of the first 150 students registered and we look forward to seeing them on the day of the event!
